This week I attended the Museum Fundraising Summit, a brilliant conference for museum about how to boost their donations. The event highlighted the many different ways that cultural institutions are fundraising, from donor circles to memberships to more unique initiatives.
This talk from the Tank Museum sharing how they’re now earning 30% of their revenue from online activities including advertising revenue from YouTube was the highlight for me.
Such an inventive and inspiring presentation.
The conference highlighted the value of virtual events post pandemic. I’d likely not have been able to attend this conference if it was taking place in London, but it was easy to tune in and watch live and then catch up on a few sessions that I missed on-demand.
